From independent creative agencies to global networks. Design studios. In-house. Direct to client. University lecturing, high school teaching, and Award school tutoring. Phil's extensive and varied experience is a reflection of his discomfort in sitting still.
With a career defined by variety, the one consistency is a drive to find novelty in work, through thinking and execution.
It’s paid off too, with a body of work filled with things that people actually seek out and want to share, and a range of industry recognition from AWARD to Spikes Asia, ONE Show, Cannes Lions and D&AD.
For the last 4-ish years Phil has been working at Special Group, Campaign’s Global Independent Agency of the Year. Previous agency stints include Saatchi & Saatchi, McCaan and Ogilvy, plus time in boutique design studios, in-house as menswear category design manager at Australian art-come-surf brand Mambo, and as the lead designer at a footwear company you’ve probably never heard of.
Beyond my creative work, my B.Education and varied teaching experience gives me a unique talent for bringing out the best in people in a positive and genuinely enjoyable way.
